In our Pain Management Clinic, we assess and diagnose chronic pain. Then we develop treatment plans to manage that pain. Experts from different specialties work together to help you find relief.
Our Interventional Pain Program uses injections, implantable devices and other treatments to control your pain. Our goal is to help you function better.
Physical and occupational therapists work with you to help you become more comfortable and better able to do the things that matter to you. Our Rehabilitation Program offers personalized exercise programs, hands-on treatments and other therapies.
Health psychology focuses on the connections between mind, spirit and body. We use many techniques to support you in making lifestyle changes to reduce and manage chronic pain.
Our inpatient pain program serves people who are in the hospital. We care for those recovering from surgery, trauma and other health issues.
We use several tests to diagnose pain and plan treatment. Radiologists and other specialists are often involved in this care.
People with cancer may have sudden or ongoing pain. Cancer doctors, anesthesiologists, palliative care specialists and rehabilitation providers work together to address this discomfort. We place special emphasis on treating pain early, before it becomes more severe.
We are committed to do all we can to quickly treat your child’s pain and discomfort. We use both non-drug techniques as well as medicines to keep your child comfortable. Our staff helps you choose which pain management methods are best for your child.
Pain ruled Liz's life 15 years after back surgery, and medication introduced unpleasant side effects. The pain got so bad Liz says she was suicidal, but her life turned around when UW Health pain management doctor Nalini Sehgal, MD, recommended a pain pump to ease Liz's suffering.
