Getting ready for baby

This class is for breastfeeding individuals in the Rockford area. Breastfeeding Basics is taught by a board-certified lactation consultant who will teach you the advantages of breastfeeding, strategies for early success and how to pump as well as offer breastfeeding support resources for after your hospital discharge.

Labor and delivery
First Tuesday of each month
Learn what you can expect as you prepare for the birth of your baby. From the early symptoms of labor to when you should go to the hospital and what you can expect at delivery, our staff will help you prepare.

Mother and newborn postpartum care and lactation
Second Tuesday of each month
Learning to take care of yourself and a new baby can be challenging. Join our nurses and certified lactation consultant to learn tips and tricks to help you during the postpartum period and with breastfeeding.

CPR for friends and families
Third Tuesday of each month
Nobody plans to give CPR, especially to a baby. Be prepared—join our nurses and respiratory therapists to learn what to do “just in case.”
