Acerca de

Andrea Cook, CO, is a UW Health orthotist who provides orthotic and prosthetic devices to treat a range of complex conditions affecting the spine and lower extremities.

Working with patients of all ages, from young children to the elderly, Andrea makes and fits braces and splints (orthoses) to support body parts weakened by disease, injury, nerve disorders, muscle sprains and strains, muscle disease, spina bifida, clubfoot and bone conditions. She specializes in idiopathic scoliosis, complex spine disorders and lower extremity needs such as club foot, and is trained in the use of SpineCor Dynamic Corrective orthosis (a corrective brace to correct spine and posture misalignments).

Andrea’s patient care philosophy is to listen carefully to each patient’s goals to learn what’s important to them. She then uses shared decision-making to determine the best orthotic solution for each patient’s unique needs. Her goal for all patients is to reduce their pain and increase mobility so they can return to the activities they enjoy and have a better quality of life.

In her free time, Andrea enjoys reading, baking, gardening and spending quality time with her family.

I want my patients to know that I am really listening to them and want to work together to determine the best orthotic device for their goals.
