Anthony Garcia-Prats, MD

Anthony Garcia-Prats, MD, is a UW Health urgent care pediatrician and associate professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. Dr. Garcia-Prats provides general pediatric health care for infants and children with acute (sudden) illnesses and injuries in the urgent care setting.

As an urgent care doctor, Dr. Garcia-Prats commonly treats children with sudden illnesses and injuries such as strep throat, minor fractures and sprains, ear infections, colds, flu and other viral infections. He is deeply committed to providing high-quality, equitable care for all children, especially those in underserved and resource-limited communities. 

In addition to his clinical and teaching roles, Dr. Garcia-Prats conducts extensive clinical research to improve the prevention and treatment of tuberculosis in children.
