Brenda Schmitt, NP, is a UW Health nurse practitioner specializing in family medicine. She provides primary health care services for patients of all ages.
Brenda cares for patients with a wide variety of medical conditions. She helps people manage acute (short-term) concerns, such as sore throats, runny noses and rashes, and chronic (long-term) issues, including diabetes and heart disease. She also offers preventive services, ranging from well-child visits to annual physicals.
As an advocate for individuals and families in all stages of life, Brenda strives to build lasting relationships with her patients. She empowers patients to take control of their health by assisting them in making informed decisions and implementing positive changes in their day-to-day lives. She especially enjoys bringing comfort and happiness to her younger patients during their visits.
Outside of work, Brenda looks forward to reading, sewing and spending time outdoors.
I strive to help my patients improve their quality of life by actively participating in their own care.
