Cassandra (Cassie) Meffert, PA, MPH, is a UW Health Kids physician assistant in pediatric neurology.
Working with patients ages 21 and under, Cassie provides care for general neurologic conditions, such as seizures, concussions, fainting disorders, developmental delays and movement disorders. With additional qualification in headache through the National Headache Foundation, Cassie has a special interest in treating chronic headaches, including migraines.
Cassie is committed to providing age-appropriate care that fully meets the needs of both patients and families. When working with young children, Cassie tries to make visits fun and engaging. While working with teens and young adults, she understands the importance of respectful care and encourages them to participate in their treatment decisions.
Cassie appreciates UW Health’s continuous drive for innovation and how it brings the latest treatments and technology to her patients.
In addition to her clinical work, Cassie is involved in research that focuses on pediatric headache prevention and treatment.
Outside of work, Cassie stays active with her four kids and two dogs. She also enjoys photography.
I understand the impact chronic neurological conditions have on patients’ quality of life and I’m fully committed to helping them get better.
