Dan Gralnek, MD, is an urologist at UW Health, where he also serves as the director of the HoLEP program. He is also an associate professor at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, Department of Urology. He treats adults with a wide range of urinary tract conditions. Dr. Gralnek sees patients who have noncancerous enlarged prostates, kidney stones or gender-related issues. He also performs PSA blood tests to detect elevated prostate-specific antigens. Dr. Gralnek’s care philosophy is to ask the right questions and listen to his patients carefully. A key focus of his practice is a unique procedure known as HoLEP (holmium laser enucleation of the prostate), a laser surgery for noncancerous prostate growth. In addition to his clinical work, his research focuses on using HoLEP laser surgery for noncancerous prostate growths. In his free time, Dr. Gralnek enjoys sports, playing tennis, being outdoors, traveling and learning more about Wisconsin.   I enjoy helping people make decisions about their care, so they can achieve their goals. Seeing the smiles on their faces, or hearing how much better something is, has been a huge relief, and it's probably my favorite part.
