Acerca de

Daniel Deuel, PT, is a UW Health physical therapist. He provides care for people who experience chronic (long-term) pain.

Daniel treats a wide range of persistent pain disorders. He regularly treats people who have pain affecting their back, neck, shoulders, sacroiliac (joint connecting the spine and the pelvis), hips, knees and ankles. He also treats headaches, myofascial pain (affects muscles and connective tissue around muscles), complex regional pain syndrome and other chronic disorders that cause pain such as Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (affects the body’s connective tissues), fibromyalgia (causes widespread pain and fatigue) and multiple sclerosis (affects nerves throughout the body).

Daniel has special clinical interests in chronic pain and hypermobility spectrum disorders (joints with a wider than usual range of movement). He became a physical therapist to empower patients to be agents of change in their own health care. Believing that patients know their bodies best, he works closely with them to understand their needs and goals to create effective treatment plans.

In addition to his clinical work, Daniel researches ways to improve access to physical therapy services in the United States.

Outside of work, Daniel enjoys playing tennis, rock climbing and fishing.

I serve as a guide to my patients, helping them develop healthful habits to address longstanding health conditions.
