Acerca de

Daniel McCulley, MD, is a geriatrician and memory care specialist at UW Health and an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Geriatrics and Gerontology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.

Dr. McCulley works with patients experiencing age-related declines in memory and cognitive function. He treats all stages of memory loss, including early memory changes, mild cognitive impairment and dementia. He also treats issues that increase the risk of memory concerns such as depression, anxiety, insomnia, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and medication side effects.

Dr. McCulley has a passion for educating patients on how healthy habits such as exercise, a healthy diet, quality sleep, stress reduction, social connections and cognitive activity can help keep the brain healthy. He says the most rewarding part of taking care of patients is being able to spend extra time with them during their first visit. He makes sure that they feel like they’ve had a thorough evaluation and their memory issue has been addressed.

Treating memory issues requires a team approach. Dr. McCulley works closely with social workers, neuropsychologists, nurses, medical assistants and the patient’s support system to provide the best care to support the best outcome.

In his free time, Dr. McCulley enjoys reading, hiking, camping and running.

I want to make sure all of my patients' questions are answered and they feel validated. I treat them as I would my own family member.
