Elizabeth Sadowski, MD, is a UW Health radiologist and professor in the Department of Radiology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, where she also serves as director of gynecologic imaging. Dr. Sadowski performs imaging scans to help diagnose a wide range of conditions. As a diagnostic radiologist, Dr. Sadowski reviews ultrasound, computed tomography (CT) and magnet resonance imaging (MRI) images to provide treating doctors with the information they need to diagnose patients. As a world-renowned expert in female pelvic imaging, her clinical specialty is using imaging to guide treatments for uterine, cervical and ovarian cancer. In addition to her clinical practice and teaching role, Dr. Sadowski conducts clinical research on a variety of imaging-related topics, including how imaging can be used to diagnosis and guide safe treatments for gynecologic cancers. Most recently, she led the development of the American College of Radiology O-RADS assessment to help more accurately determine if patients with ovarian lesions have cancer. Dr. Sadowski is fluent in English and Polish. By using advanced imaging, we can look inside the body and discover what is happening.
