Acerca de

Eric Adelman, MD, is a neurologist at UW Health and an associate professor in the Department of Neurology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. Dr. Adelman treats stroke patients and provides care for people with migraines, epilepsy, seizures, dizziness and other neurologic issues.

Dr. Adelman offers specialized care for his patients. He uses the latest treatments to help preserve and restore brain function and works closely with colleagues to manage his patients’ recovery. When patients are in remote locations, Dr. Adelman provides expert consultation services via the Telestroke Network.

Because stroke and other brain conditions impact a person’s ability to work and care for themselves, Dr. Adelman helps patients and families navigate the necessary lifestyle adjustments they may need to make.

Dr. Adelman conducts research focused on ways to improve the quality of care for stroke patients as they transition from the hospital and rehabilitation facilities to their own homes.

In his free time, Dr. Adelman enjoys outdoor activities such as cross-country skiing and skijoring.

I'm particularly excited about new treatments that reduce a person’s risk of disability after a stroke and even prevent stroke in the first place.
