Frank Lin, MD, is a UW Health urologist and urogynecologist and an assistant professor in the Department of Urology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. Dr. Lin specializes in urogynecology and reconstructive pelvic surgery. Dr. Lin diagnoses and treats problems such as urinary incontinence, overactive bladder and vaginal prolapse, a disorder caused by weakened pelvic and vaginal muscles. As a urogynecologist, Dr. Lin offers the latest medical and surgical treatments. One of these advanced procedures uses electrical stimulation to treat sensory nerves coming from the lower part of the spine. This can help manage symptoms or conditions such as chronic urinary retention, urinary leakage and overactive bladder. Dr. Lin performs many complex reconstructive surgeries and offers minimally invasive and robotic-assisted approaches to repair pelvic organ prolapse. In addition to his clinical and teaching roles, Dr. Lin conducts clinical research that focuses on urology, female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery. In his free time, Dr. Lin enjoys cooking and grilling. It’s important to understand each patient’s needs and goals so we can develop an individualized healthcare plan together. It’s rewarding to see good outcomes that improve their quality of life.
