Heather Sorensen, LCSW, is a UW Health licensed clinical social worker and certified mindfulness instructor.

She specializes in mindfulness-based psychotherapy for people of all ages. Practicing mindfulness means focusing on what you’re thinking, feeling and experiencing in the present moment.

Heather works with both individuals and groups in the clinic or community settings. She develops special programs to treat the unique needs of diverse populations. She’s also a registered yoga teacher.

Through all her work, Heather tries to help people achieve a greater sense of peace, calm and overall well-being.

During her free time, Heather enjoys hiking, writing, creating and spending time with family.
