Dr. Jacques Galipeau is a board-certified hematologist with UW Health, where he treats patients with blood clotting conditions and other blood disorders, such as anemia and blood count abnormalities. He is also a professor at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine Public Health, Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology, Medical Oncology and Palliative Care, where he serves as the associate dean for therapeutic development and the director of the Advanced Cell Therapy Program. Dr. Galipeau entered medicine to make a difference in people’s lives by using science and its innovations to cure patients. His philosophy is to provide the best care suitable for each patient’s needs. He also has a clinical interest in telemedicine. He is an international expert in developing cell therapies for catastrophic illnesses like cancers and immune diseases. Dr. Galipeau’s research focuses on creating personalized cell therapies to treat these disorders. In his free time, Dr. Galipeau enjoys using locally sourced ingredients for slow cooking at home and rescuing dogs.
