Acerca de

Jason Howards, PA, is a UW Health orthopedics physician assistant who specializes in sports medicine.

Jason treats athletes and non-athletes with soft tissue or joint injuries and conditions that affect the function of their knee, hip, shoulder or elbow. He explains conditions and procedures and helps prepare patients for surgeries such as ACL knee reconstruction. He also provides intraoperative (during surgery) and postoperative (after surgery) care.

Having had his own significant knee surgery in the past, Jason can relate to his patients on a personal level and knows the extensive time they will spend healing. He listens carefully to understand their experiences and goals, explains their condition, treatment options and realistic expectations of what recovery might look like. This allows his patients to make informed decisions about their care.

Outside of work, Jason enjoys spending time with his family and being outdoors — hiking, camping, hunting, foraging and fishing.

It's exciting to see somebody start at their worst and end up at their best.
