Jennifer Buhl, NP, is a UW Health psychiatric nurse practitioner.
Jennifer helps to diagnose and treat people with mental health conditions. These conditions include depression and anxiety, eating disorders, personality disorders, disruptive behavior, trauma-related disorders and psychosis (abnormal thinking and difficulty recognizing what’s real and what’s not).
With compassion and skill, Jennifer talks with each patient and assesses their unique symptoms and behavioral issues. She works to help her patients manage their mental conditions. She also tries to address their overall health and well-being so they can live happy, productive lives.
Jennifer speaks both Spanish and English. When working with Hispanic families, Jennifer uses their native language to talk about mental health and to address their specific needs and issues.
When not caring for patients, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her family — fishing, boating and relaxing at their cabin.
“I entered the medical profession to help individuals and families who struggle with their mental and emotional health.
