Jesse Boyett Anderson, MD

Jesse Boyett Anderson, MD, is a UW Health Kids pediatric cardiologist. She’s also an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.

Dr. Boyett Anderson cares for children with a full range of pediatric and congenital (present at birth) heart conditions. These include structural issues, arrhythmias, infections and inflammation. She has a particular interest in heart conditions that affect mental health development, such as Williams syndrome.

Dr. Boyett Anderson is an expert in pediatric heart care, but she recognizes parents and caregivers as experts in their own children. She works with families to combine their expertise. Together, they create a personalized treatment plan and help kids achieve the best possible outcomes.

Her care approach focuses on understanding each family’s needs and concerns. During a stressful time, she can provide clear answers and guidance. She creates a safe, supportive environment where young patients feel heard.

Dr. Boyett Anderson conducts research on the impact of pediatric and congenital heart disease on brain development, mental health and executive function.

In her free time, Dr. Boyett Anderson likes to explore the outdoors with her kids. She enjoys kayaking and hiking in Wisconsin’s beautiful scenery.

My hope for each of my patients is that they live a full, happy life, impacted as little as possible by their heart.
