Jessica Bothun, NP, is a UW Health nurse practitioner in cardiology. She cares for patients with electrical heart issues, such as arrhythmias (fast, slow or irregular heartbeats). Jessica specializes in atrial fibrillation, a type of heart arrhythmia that occurs in the upper chambers.
Jessica knows that each patient is unique. She takes time to understand their needs and goals to offer treatments that work for them. These interventions can include ablation procedures, pacemaker implants or special medications. She also recommends educational resources and lifestyle changes to help patients take charge of their health.
As a care partner, Jessica works closely with patients to consider every aspect of their well-being. She checks in when needed with her patients to make sure they’re feeling better and living the best they can.
Outside the clinic, Jessica is a dedicated triathlete who enjoys swimming, biking and running. She also spends her free time traveling with her family.
My biggest reward comes from watching patients change their disease trajectory through lifestyle modifications and other treatments. I’m here to help them live their best life possible.
