Julia Oanes, PA

Julia Oanes, PA, is a UW Health physician assistant specializing in surgical oncology (cancer care). Julia cares for patients with a variety of benign (noncancerous) and cancerous conditions as they heal from surgery. She ensures that her patients receive comprehensive support. This includes wound care, nutritional guidelines, tailored treatment plans and ongoing follow-up care.  

Julia specializes in caring for patients with stomach, liver, gallbladder and pancreas concerns. As part of the UW Health Pancreas Cancer Prevention Clinic, she helps those with pancreatic cysts monitor their risk factors.  

As an often longtime partner to her patients, Julia looks forward to building relationships with people year after year. Through education, shared decision-making and compassionate care, she ensures that her patients feel heard and valued. She serves as a shoulder to lean on, helping her patients pursue their interests while never compromising on their health care.  

In her free time, Julia enjoys hiking, camping, reading, cooking and baking.
