Acerca de

Julie Chang, MD, is a UW Health hematologist and an associate professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology, Medical Oncology and Palliative Care at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. Dr. Chang cares for adults with blood disorders, including clotting and bleeding disorders. She also cares for people with blood cancers, such as leukemia and lymphoma.

While some of the blood disorders she treats can be cured, Dr. Chang sees some of her patients throughout the course of their lives. These patients have lymphomas that act more like chronic disease. She enjoys building trusting patient-provider relationships through ongoing care.

Dr. Chang's research interests include lymphoma, experimental therapeutics and complications of cancer involving the central nervous system. She is currently working on a research project focusing on new drug development and drug combinations for treating lymphoma in adults.

Outside of work, Dr. Chang enjoys gardening, reading, playing the piano and spending time with her seven children.

I love the long-term relationships that I’m able to build with my patients.
