Krystle Lange, DO, is a UW Health general surgeon and a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. Dr. Lange provides surgical care for people with gallbladder disease, breast cancer, benign (noncancerous) breast disease, colon cancer, benign colon disease and hemorrhoids (swollen blood vessels in the anus). She also sees patients with hernias, which occur when internal tissue bulges through a weakened area of muscle.
Dr. Lange’s patient care philosophy is to treat all patients as if they were her family members. She works to thoroughly explain the options to each patient so they can work together to find the solution that’s best for them. Dr. Lange always advocates for her patients, so they receive the highest quality health care possible. She says she entered the field of medicine because she enjoys having a career that involves lifelong learning.
Outside of work, Dr. Lange enjoys international travel, working out and planning game nights with her friends.
I enjoy being able to help people feel better. Being a general surgeon allows me to help fix an immediate problem for my patients.
