Kyle Richards, MD, FACS

Kyle Richards, MD, FACS is an urologist who is fellowship-trained in urologic oncology. He is an associate professor in the Department of Urology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. He treats patients who have cancer of the urinary system, including the bladder, prostate, kidney, testicle, penis and adrenal gland.

Dr. Richards is an expert in both bladder and prostate cancers. He and his team perform innovative, minimally invasive surgical procedures for complex urological cancers. He performs reconstructive urology for patients with neurogenic bladder (lack of bladder control due to a neurological condition) and narrowing or blockage of the ureter. Dr. Richards works alongside the radiology and pathology departments to develop a comprehensive care plan that’s tailored to each of his patients.

Dr. Richards believes in education for his patients. He spends a lot of time helping his patients understand their cancer and their treatment options so they can make informed decisions. He gives his patients as much time as they need to discuss options and make a plan that is going to provide the best possible outcome.

In his free time, Dr. Richards enjoys reading, cycling, fishing and personal fitness.

My hope for my patients is that we can cure their cancer, and that they can go on to lead a very productive life with a good quality of life.
