Acerca de

Mai Elezaby, MD, is a UW Health radiologist. She’s also an associate professor at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in the Department of Radiology.

Dr. Elezaby reads her patients’ screening mammograms (low-dose X-ray images used to detect breast cancer). If any abnormalities exist, she reviews their diagnostic mammograms (more low-dose X-rays to check suspicious areas). She also interprets ultrasounds and other imaging tests that radiologists use to examine the breast for signs of cancer.

After their diagnostic mammograms and imaging tests, Dr. Elezaby meets with patients and carefully explains the results. She listens to their concerns and answers questions. When people need further care, she explains their next steps.

Knowing that people are often anxious and concerned, Dr. Elezaby works to make sure they get the right information and services as efficiently as possible.

To improve patient care, Dr. Elezaby studies how radiologists interpret breast imaging and looks for even better ways to read various imaging tests.

During her free time, Dr. Elezaby enjoys traveling and spending time with family.

As a physician, it’s important to be a compassionate listener and help patients understand their diagnosis and get the care they need.
