Mali Him, MD

Mali Him, MD, is a UW Health family medicine doctor. She provides preventive health services for people of all ages. Dr. Him also helps patients manage chronic health conditions, including diabetes, hypertension (high blood pressure), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (lung condition that causes breathing difficulties) and hyperlipidemia (high cholesterol).

Dr. Him enjoys educating her patients so they can make well-informed decisions about their care. She first became interested in medicine as a child living in a refugee camp. She saw the lack of health care others were receiving and was grateful for the help provided by the Red Cross. This influenced her to become a doctor and give back to her community.

In her free time, Dr. Him likes to cook, bake and crochet.

Being a family medicine doctor gives me an opportunity to educate my patients so we can make decisions together.
