Matt Hirscher, PT, is a UW Health physical therapist. He provides care for patients who have orthopedic conditions affecting their bones, muscles, joints, tendons and ligaments.
Matt commonly treats chronic shoulder, spine, hip, knee and ankle pain. He helps post-operative patients recover from joint replacement surgery and arthroscopic surgery.
Using a patient-centered approach to care, Matt helps patients heal using exercise and manual approaches. He is skilled in a variety of techniques, including trigger point dry needling. He also provides patient education so patients can self-manage symptoms at home.
Matt’s goal for all his patients is to reduce their pain, restore function and return them to their former, active lifestyle.
My goal is to educate my patients to give them more control over their symptoms and outcome.
