About

Meaghan Reed, PA, is a UW Health physician assistant who specializes in critical care medicine. She cares for hospitalized patients who need intensive care for severe and potentially life-threatening conditions.

Meaghan is part of a team of critical care experts working together in a multispecialty trauma and life support center. She cares for patients with various acute (sudden) or chronic (ongoing) illnesses, injuries and diseases. These range from heart and lung diseases to stroke and multiple traumatic injuries. Many of her patients are at risk of complications such as respiratory (lung and breathing) failure, heart, kidney or liver failure, and bacterial, viral or other types of infection.

Meaghan collaborates with other providers and specialists to evaluate, monitor and manage care. She assists patients with a wide variety of critical care needs and offers compassionate support for patients, families and support networks.

Outside of work, Meaghan enjoys running, cycling and spending time with her family and friends.

Having had family members in the ICU, I understand how families would like their loved ones to be treated. I strive to provide expert care with kindness during difficult times.
