Meaghan Trainor, MD, is a UW Health palliative care doctor and a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology, Medical Oncology and Palliative Caret the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. She treats hospitalized patients who are facing severe illnesses, such as cancer, heart failure, lung disease and other disorders.  

With care and compassion, Dr. Trainor helps patients manage their pain and other symptoms. She provides patients with helpful information about their disease, outlines treatment options, and talks about their preferences for medical care.  

Dr. Trainer also offers expert end-of-life care in the hospital. She comforts and supports patients, families and loved ones during some of their most difficult moments.  

Her goal is to ease the symptoms and stress of serious illness so patients can experience the best quality of life possible.
