Michael Gillcrist, PT, is a UW Health physical therapist who provides sports and orthopedic physical therapy. He specializes in helping injured athletes return to their previous level of function and addresses the underlying causes of their injury to prevent future problems. He also treats adults who have a range of musculoskeletal (bone, joint and muscle) disorders.

Michael’s special clinical interests are treating tactical athletes (people in service occupations with challenging physical requirements) and providing post-concussion rehabilitation.

Michael’s patient care philosophy is to treat the whole person by focusing on their physical and mental health. He also wants patients to feel empowered with knowledge and tools to continue to improve their health and prevent future injuries.

I want to empower patients to improve their lives through movement and physical activity.
