About

Michael Richardson, PA, is a UW Health physician assistant specializing in infectious diseases. He cares for hospitalized patients with complex infections and often treats infections that happen after surgery. Michael has a clinical interest in LGBTQA+ healthcare and medical education on proper antibiotic prescribing.

As a teen with a chronic illness, Michael experienced firsthand how a great health care team can improve a person’s quality of life. Now, he spends as much time as needed with his patients to ensure they understand their diagnosis. He also empowers his patients to continue with the treatments they need.

Outside of the clinic, Michael enjoys knitting, cooking, kayaking and skiing.

My patient care philosophy is that knowledge is power.
