Acerca de

Olivia Adams, OT, is a UW Health occupational therapist and certified hand therapist. She cares for patients with a wide range of upper extremity (hand and arm) problems and works with musicians who have experienced a hand injury to get back to playing.

Olivia treats patients with hand and arm injuries caused by trauma, misuse and overuse, as well as those with chronic (long-term) conditions like arthritis. As a rehabilitation specialist, she also assists people as they recover from surgery. Olivia helps patients regain their daily functionality by working with them to improve their range of motion, strength, coordination and pain level.

Through a blend of practical techniques and holistic care, Olivia strives to provide exceptional support to her patients as they recover. She enjoys connecting with people by taking time to understand their perspectives and what they need to bring meaning and joy into their lives. Overall, she prioritizes patients’ integrity by guiding the gradual return to independence in every day tasks and teaching them about their bodies and healing processes so they can become their own healers.

Outside of work, Olivia enjoys traveling, practicing yoga and Pilates, trying different foods, spending time with her family, and doing macrame with her cats. Olivia is also passionate about global health and has volunteered on hand therapy mission trips to developing nations.
