Paul DiMusto, MD, is a vascular surgeon at UW Health, as well as an associate professor and director of simulation at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, Department of Surgery. He also serves as the program director of the Vascular Surgery Integrated Residency and the Vascular Surgery Fellowship.

Dr. DiMusto treats conditions that include circulatory disorders and diseases of the arteries such as narrowed or diseased arteries, aneurysms and tears of the aorta (main artery) in the chest, abdomen and pelvis. His expertise includes the treatment of varicose veins, deep vein thrombosis (DVT or clotting) and advanced limb salvage to prevent amputation. He also specializes in thoracic outlet syndrome, where a rib compresses a nerve or blood vessel.  

Dr. DiMusto offers leading-edge treatments ranging from nonsurgical therapies to minimally invasive procedures and open surgery. 

Dr. DiMusto researches ways to improve the use of simulations in surgical training. In his free time, he enjoys traveling and exploring new places with his wife, going to live concerts, watching college football and attending Badger football games.  I entered the medical profession to help others live their life to the fullest. I chose vascular surgery because I like the variety of treatment options I can offer my patients.
