Philip Palmon, MD

Philip Palmon, MD, is a UW Health pulmonologist and critical care medicine doctor and an assistant professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.

Dr. Palmon treats patients in the hospital and clinic with a wide range of lung and airway disorders, including asthma, coughs, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and pleural (tissue covering the lungs) diseases. He has a special clinical and research interest in severe asthma.

In the clinic setting, Dr. Palmon helps patients manage breathing conditions to improve their daily function. In the hospital, he provides critical care for patients in the intensive care unit (ICU) with life-threatening breathing conditions.

Dr. Palmon believes involving patients in their care plans is critical for the best outcome. He listens to patients’ needs and works with them to select the right treatment plan based on their values and goals. He teaches patients about their conditions and empowers them with individual asthma action plans to manage their breathing.

In his free time, Dr. Palmon enjoys cycling and spending time with family.
