Phillip Lu, CAA is a UW Health clinical anesthesiologist. Phillip works under the direct supervision of anesthesiologists to provide anesthesia care for patients having surgery. Phillip operates the anesthesia equipment during surgical procedures and monitors medication before, during and after procedures. He also assists in providing life-saving CPR and life support measures when necessary. Phillip works primarily in the operating room (OR). Phillips’s care philosophy is to provide quality, holistic patient care. He believes in open communication and shared decision-making to help his patients meet their needs and reach their goals. In his free time, Phillip enjoys spending time with family and friends. I entered the anesthesiology profession to serve as the patient’s strongest advocate and defense during surgery.
