Acerca de

Rebecca Busch, MD, is a UW Health surgeon. She’s also an assistant professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.

Dr. Busch cares for patients who have experienced traumatic accidents and those with severe medical problems. Specializing in emergency care, she sees patients for critical injuries resulting from car accidents, falls, burns and other mishaps. She surgically treats serious medical conditions, including appendicitis, gallbladder disease and bowel blockages.

She also provides supportive treatments for patients in the intensive care unit (ICU) who need ongoing care. These therapies range from IV nutrition to assistive breathing devices.

Recognizing that she often meets people in overwhelming moments, Dr. Busch delivers prompt, high-quality care. She takes time to explain each patient’s condition and helps them make decisions about their health. Providing comfort and reassurance, she strives to guide people through challenging times.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Busch studies ways to improve nutritional support for surgical patients.

Outside of the office, Dr. Busch enjoys playing tennis, cooking, reading and spending time with her family.

I strive to guide my patients through critical moments and help them get back on the road to recovery.
