Sarah Floden, MD

Acerca de

Sarah Floden, MD, is a UW Health internal medicine doctor and an assistant professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.

Dr. Floden diagnoses and treats complex internal conditions affecting adults and the elderly. She evaluates sudden symptoms such as pain and shortness of breath and manages chronic conditions such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), obesity, diabetes and heart failure.

Dr. Floden takes a holistic approach to care. As a primary care doctor, she gets to know her patients on a personal level and builds relationships over time. She listens carefully and assesses their health histories, medications, lifestyles and personal challenges or concerns. She educates patients and helps them achieve health goals such as managing weight, blood pressure and blood sugar.

Because she believes healthcare should be personalized, Dr. Floden uses shared decision-making with her patients when determining treatment. She also consults other UW Health specialists when needed to tailor services, resources and care to each patient’s needs.

In her free time, Dr. Floden enjoys spending time with her family, baking and cooking, bicycling and attending comedy shows.

I love getting to know people and solving problems in ways that make a difference in their health and lives.
