Acerca de

Sheba McCants, PA, is a UW Health physician assistant in obstetrics and gynecology.

Sheba cares for patients with high-risk pregnancies. They often have pre-existing health conditions, such as high blood pressure, diabetes or heart disease. Sometimes, doctors have discovered medical problems with their unborn babies. One of Sheba’s special interests is treating patients who develop preeclampsia (very high blood pressure during the second and third trimesters and sometimes after delivery).

Typically, Sheba cares for patients throughout their pregnancies and until about six weeks after their babies are born.

With compassion and respect, Sheba takes time to listen to her patients’ concerns and answer questions. She believes it’s important to teach them as much as possible about their pregnancy, using words they can understand. She wants all patients to feel welcome, comfortable and supported.

Her goal is to help mothers and their babies stay as healthy as possible during pregnancy.

During her free time, Sheba enjoys dancing, especially Cuban salsa and Afro-Brazilian dance.

I care for pregnant patients during a critical point in their lives. I support them and their unborn babies during every step of their journey.
