Vrunda Patel, DO, is a UW Health cardiologist. She is also a clinical associate professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.
Dr. Patel works with adult patients to prevent, diagnose and treat cardiovascular conditions, such as hypertension, heart failure and coronary artery disease. She provides care both in the clinic and in the hospital.
Following the philosophy of “Seek health, not disease,” Dr. Patel places a strong focus on prevention and whole-patient care. She values listening to patients to learn about who they are and what they want in life. Working to ease anxiety and fear, Dr. Patel thoroughly explains conditions and treatment options. She then partners with patients to design and implement a personalized care plan.
Dr. Patel enjoys getting to know and help a variety of people. She appreciates that UW Health provides access to diverse communities, including those that need more care.
Outside of work, Dr. Patel likes traveling and trying new foods.
Getting to know my patients on a personal level enables me to provide better care.
