Cami Matthews, MD, is a UW Health Kids pediatric sleep medicine physician. She's also an associate professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.
Dr. Matthews treats children from infants to teenagers who experience problems with sleep, including sleep apnea, sleepwalking and other related issues.
It’s important for Dr. Matthews to work with her patients and their care providers to develop individualized care plans. As both a physician and a parent, Dr. Matthews knows that if a child is not sleeping well, neither are the care providers. She listens carefully during appointments and strives to involve everyone in the discussions about diagnosis and treatment.
When she’s not treating patients, Dr. Matthews researches sleep issues in children with genetic disorders or other conditions.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Matthews enjoys gardening and spending time with her children and dogs.
My hope for my patients is to sleep better and feel better.
