Katherine Gonzaga, MD, is a UW Health Kids allergist and immunologist. She's also a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.
Dr. Gonzaga treats both pediatric and adult patients with allergies to foods, medications or environmental elements. She also treats eczema, asthma, hay fever and chronic sinus disease with nasal polyps.
When Dr. Gonzaga first meets a patient, she listens to their concerns and the reason for the appointment. She is eager to understand the details of a possible allergy and what treatments have worked well in the past. Many times, the patient’s parents and siblings also have allergy conditions. Dr. Gonzaga learns more about the family, which helps her better treat her patients and their allergy conditions.
Dr. Gonzaga creates long-term relationships with her patients and their family members. She believes in open communication, especially when developing treatment plans. She strives to understand everyone’s goals for treatment and listens to any concerns that might arise.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Gonzaga enjoys playing tennis.
My goal for my patients is to work together to develop a treatment plan to help them feel better.
