Kenneth Noonan, MD, is a UW Health Kids pediatric orthopedic surgeon. He’s also a professor at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in the Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation. Dr. Noonan diagnoses and treats children with problems that affect the bones, muscles and joints any. These include fractures, tears, spine curvatures, leg length differences, birth deformities, tumors, bone infections and other injuries, disorders and diseases. To reduce pain and help his patients heal or regain function, Dr. Noonan uses the very latest techniques — either nonsurgical, surgical or a combination. During office visits, Dr. Noonan takes time to educate families about their child’s condition and outline treatment options. He listens closely to their concerns and answers questions using age-appropriate words his young patients can understand. To reduce stress and help children and families feel more comfortable, Dr. Noonan often uses humor. Together with the families, he creates effective treatment plans. To improve patient care, Dr. Noonan researches new technology to treat children with leg length discrepancies, while reducing the risk of infection and other problems. Whenever possible, Dr. Noonan enjoys cooking and spending time with his family. I enjoy helping children and families. I work to provide the very best care for my young patients — just as I would do for my own kids.
