Aimee Becker, MD, is a UW Health anesthesiologist where she also serves as the chief clinical officer. She is an associate professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.
As an anesthesiologist, Dr. Becker provides specialized care for people who are having surgery. She administers the proper medications to prevent pain or keep the patient calm, sedated (asleep) and comfortable. She also uses state-of-the-art equipment to monitor the patient’s vital signs and overall condition during the procedure. She works as a team with other providers in the operating room.
One of Dr. Becker’s special interests is neuroanesthesia. This means she cares for patients during surgery that involves the body’s nervous system, particularly the brain and spinal cord.
Dr. Becker considers it a privilege to care for patients, and she’s continually looking for the best ways to administer care.
Patient care is a team sport. I work with the surgical team to keep our patients safe and comfortable during procedures.
