About

Alicia Purdin, PA, is a UW Health physician assistant in orthopedics.

Alicia cares for people who suffer from pain and arthritis in their hips and knees. She educates them about their condition, outlines treatment options and works to manage their symptoms. As needed, Alicia also administers injections to help reduce pain and speed up the healing process.

If her patient is a candidate for hip or knee replacement surgery, Alicia cares for them before and after their procedure. She believes it’s important to explain to each patient what will happen during their surgery and talk about potential outcomes. She also provides helpful information about what to expect during the rehabilitation process.

Alicia’s overall goal is to help patients recover from their surgeries, regain their ability to move without pain and live a better quality of life.

During her free time, Alicia enjoys running and spending time with her family.

It’s exciting to help patients regain their ability to move and function after having hip or knee replacement surgery.
