Allen Williams, MD

Allen Williams, MD, is a UW Health internal medicine doctor. He provides primary care services for adults aged 18 and older.

Dr. Williams diagnoses and treats acute (sudden) illnesses and minor injuries and manages chronic (long-term) conditions such as diabetes, hypertension (high blood pressure) and high cholesterol. Dr. Williams also provides preventive care that includes vaccinations, annual physicals and education about healthy habits and lifestyle changes.

Dr. Williams believes in treating and preventing illnesses with positive lifestyle changes – such as losing weight, eating healthier and getting more physical activity – before using medications. When creating care plans, he asks questions to understand his patients’ lifestyle, work-life balance and other factors to determine an action plan they will follow for optimal results.

Dr. Williams enjoys getting to know his patients over years and even decades of care. He is thankful for the bonds he’s able to build with his patients and, in some cases, for the whole family.

Outside of work, Dr. Williams enjoys volunteering in his community.

I work to build a bond with each of my patients, so they can trust in the recommendations I give them.
