Amy Kjeldahl, NP, is a UW Health nurse practitioner who specializes in hematology (blood disorders), stem cell transplants and cellular therapy. She provides care for patients who have leukemia, lymphoma and other cancerous blood diseases.
As part of her practice, Amy helps patients understand their conditions and treatment options. She uses plain language to explain the complexities of new treatments such as stem cell transplants, CAR T-cell therapy and specific T-cell engager therapies.
She takes a patient-centered approach to care, connecting with patients and listening to their concerns before guiding them through the decision-making process. Amy’s goal is for patients to feel listened to and cared for during every appointment.
In addition to her clinical practice, Amy is a subinvestigator for cancer research trials on hematologic malignancies (blood cancers), stem cell transplants and cellular therapies.
Outside of the clinic, Amy is a houseplant enthusiast who enjoys tending to her growing houseplant collection.
It’s a privilege to be a part of a patient’s health journey.
