Andrew Baschnagel, MD, is a UW Health radiation oncologist. He’s also an associate professor in the Department of Human Oncology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.
Dr. Baschnagel specializes in treating thoracic cancers (between the neck and abdomen) and has a special interest in treating patients with lung cancer. He’s experienced in performing advanced radiation therapy to treat brain, spine and liver metastases (cancer that has spread).
Knowing that every person is unique, Dr. Baschnagel is committed to providing personalized care that best suits each patient’s needs and goals. He takes time to listen to patients and their families. He educates them about their condition and treatment options so that they can participate in health care decisions.
Dr. Baschnagel conducts research focused on lung cancer to foster new ideas and translate research findings into clinical practice.
Outside of work, Dr. Baschnagel enjoys spending time with his family.
