Angela (Angie) Anderson, NP, is a UW Health Kids nurse practitioner. She provides care for newborns who have been admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).
Angie cares for infants who were born with low birth weight, complications, birth defects, prematurity, infections and other serious conditions requiring intensive care. She has a special clinical interest in neonatal nutrition, use of human milk and intravenous therapy.
Angie's patient care philosophy is to optimize the support to our smallest patients, to facilitate the parent-baby dyad and customize care based on the baby's individual needs. She personalizes care to meet each baby’s individual needs and facilitates the parent-baby relationship, assisting with skin-to-skin contact and offering support to parents during their child’s time in the NICU.
In her free time, Angie enjoys enjoy spending time with family, gardening, exercising and exploring new hobbies
I support our littlest patients and customize their care based on their individual needs.
