Ann Evensen, MD

  • Family Medicine

Ann Evensen, MD, FAAFP, is a UW Health family medicine doctor and a professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health where she also serves as the director for Global Health. She cares for patients and families, providing everything from prenatal care to geriatric care.

Dr. Evensen enjoys being a family medicine doctor because it allows her to provide continuity of care for individuals and sometimes whole families.

While Dr. Evensen is skilled at treating a broad spectrum of conditions, she has special clinical interests in women’s health, obstetrics, global health and gender-affirming hormone treatment.

Outside of work, Dr. Evensen enjoys international travel with her husband and adult children.  She also likes spending time with her rescue dog.

I enjoy caring for patients that I know as people, not just as a list of diagnoses and medications.
