Ann Stumpf, MD

Annie Stumpf, MD, is a UW Health anesthesiologist. She provides anesthesia care for patients before, during and after surgery and diagnostic procedures. She is also an assistant professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.

Dr. Stumpf has a special interest in the challenges of managing complex cases. Her goal is to make a meaningful difference in the lives of people facing serious health conditions. She believes in providing compassionate, whole-person care to each patient.

Dr. Stumpf conducts research on improving care for patients with serious illnesses, such as cancer, by exploring better treatments and supportive care. She also investigates ways to promote community health and works on projects to support women physicians.

In her free time, Dr. Stumpf enjoys staying active, being outdoors and hiking with her Golden Retriever.

I am inspired by the strength and resilience of patients facing serious illnesses.
