Anna Beck, MD, is a UW Health surgical oncologist who treats patients with breast-related problems. This includes cancer, non-cancerous abnormalities and high-risk lesions. She has a clinical interest in caring for patients at an increased risk of developing breast cancer in the future. Dr. Beck is an assistant professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.
It's important to Dr. Beck that she listens to her patients as they talk about their experiences. She strives to understand their goals and the things that are important to them. While there are many treatments for breast cancer, she knows some patients may be overwhelmed by the different options. Dr. Beck helps her patients understand each treatment option.
Dr. Beck’s care philosophy is to see each patient as a person and not as a disease. She educates her patients about their conditions and works with them to create a tailored care plan that everyone is comfortable with.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Beck enjoys yoga, camping, hiking and backpacking.
My hope for each of my patients is that they are empowered with their treatment plan and ready to move forward.
