Benjamin (Ben) Walker, MD, is a UW Health Kids pediatric anesthesiologist. He is also a professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. Dr. Walker provides anesthesia and pain management to children undergoing medical procedures. He works as part of the acute pain team to care for children with complex medical needs after surgery.

He has special clinical interests in pediatric regional anesthesia, including epidural (spinal) and nerve blocks. Dr. Walker is active in research that involves multicenter trials to determine the safety and effectiveness of various pain control methods for children after surgery.

I became a doctor to help people in their time of need and because I am fascinated with human anatomy and physiology.
